Christmas Elf!

25 Dec

Merry Christmas from Santa’s littlest helper! Gracie loved her first Christmas (read: slept through 99% of it)!

We’re All Real Upset

26 Dec

Vinnie got the news.

His tree is coming down tomorrow, and he’s not the only one feeling upset by this news. The reality is, the poor thing is just about dead, Vinnie won’t stop drinking its water, and after tomorrow, I don’t know when I’ll have time to meticulously pack up the ornaments in my special OCD way. So, see ya, tree. I miss you already.

Customers were super (and refreshingly) lovely at work today. It’s great to see the holiday’s bring out the best in people. Heartwarming, really. We spent some time with Mike’s parents and sisters and bro-in-law and of course the precious Maddie and I’m so grateful to be stepping in to such a wonderful family. Dinner at my mama and Terry’s house until we were so stuffed I wasn’t sure we’d make it through the front door. I’m just overflowing with happiness (it’s probably the cookies too, but still…) this holiday season. I hope the same for all of you! xoxo!

PS: My fiance made that ornament when he was in elementary school. I basically almost laid down and died of cuteness.

Suddenly I love this time of year again.

I’m Not Ready!

23 Dec

It’s too soon!

It just occurred to me that Christmas is day after tomorrow which means we’re going to have to say goodbye to our Christmas tree soon. Sad face.

We got a year to save up…

For a higher quality advent calendar.

Apparently ours doesn’t quite meet Mike’s impeccable culinary standards.

In the Christmas spirit?

I’m not sure Santa would approve.

Tonight’s chocolate was a little … questionable. Guess that’s what happens when you buy a $1.50 advent calendar.
