Wild and Wonderful Documentary Day

3 Dec

When Mamie White is asked what she’d like people to do at her funeral, this was her response:

Dear God, Mamie. That’s one wild grandma right there. Now listen, we’re all well aware I’m no sheltered prude, but holy… I don’t know what. I’ve been on a documentary kick lately, which happens from time to time, and stumbled upon The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia (produced by Johnny Knoxville of Jackass, naturally). Now, it’s kind of what you’re thinking, but not completely. The family surname is White, so it’s not some white supremacist movie, but it’s backwoods, no doubt about that. Anyway, I’m no movie critic so I’m not going to review it in some long drawn out rambling here, but I think it’s worth checking out. Netflix has it in their Watch Instantly section if you’re so inclined.

Here’s the link to the official website of The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia.

Happy First Saturday of December!
