May 4th is basically the best day ever. It’s the day of celebrating the birthdays of THREE of my favorite people! Happy birthday to my hilarious, one-of-a-kind father, Larry … to my darling pumpkin, Rena who never fails to brighten my day (and with whom I had the pleasure of hugging and dining alongside today!) … and to the stinkiest cat/wolf/puppy/monkey/jerk I’ve ever known, Vinnie. What a marvelous day.
The last single one, anyway…
“We did Vegas in our twenties. Our thirties call for spa days.” Stephanie, Allison, Sarah, Kim, Reza, Andrea and Cami made today the most perfect Bachelorette I could have dreamed of. No one has better friends than the gal in the sash.
Today we hiked to the waterfall (where I conquered some height-related fears)…
We mini-golfed (where I lost horribly)…
And we ended the day with a fro yo (after a mini road trip to Guernville).
Lets be honest. Any actual 420 celebrator would probably not have made it to the first of our adventures. For more proof, I will also add that when we got home we prepared and finalized our wedding vows.

Made these strawberry shortcakes tonight. So good. So amazing. So irresponsible. Used THIS recipe (but I added a tablespoon of vanilla extract to the milk and egg mixture step). You should do it. Totally worth it.
Look at these two. My mom making pretty things for the reception and my future husband making centerpiece items using my moms chop saw. I made paper flowers but there’s no photo evidence so you’re just going to have to take my word for it. Vinnie didn’t do anything at all, which is precisely why he’s not invited to the wedding.
